Version 1.0
Version 1.0, 16/10/2026
KW Diagnostics is built, owned and run by Kristopher Williams in his own time. He currently provides it free of charge to Fords of Winsford (the "Company") and its staff, for a period he has not set. That does not mean it will stay free. Kris may withdraw free access at any time, and may introduce charges or end free use in the future. All intellectual property in the app, including its code, design, features and name, belongs to Kristopher Williams. The Company and its staff may use it but may not copy, sell or recreate it.
The TSB system, meaning the way TSBs are created, collected and organised, belongs to Kristopher Williams (KW Diagnostics). TSBs he writes outside work, or after he stops working for the Company, are his, and the Company cannot ask for copies of them. The Company has free permission to use the TSB information in the app for workshop work, and may ask Kris for a copy of the TSBs written on the Company's time, which he will provide. Short references to manufacturer information, such as part numbers, TPI numbers and SVM codes, remain the property of their owners. Staff may not copy the TSB information, sell it, or share it outside the Company. A manager of Fords of Winsford may confirm, through the app's sign-off page or by email, that the Company is content for its staff to use KW Diagnostics on these terms.
The Company and its staff have permission to use the workshop functions of KW Diagnostics (currently at kwdiagnostics.co.uk/cars-on-site and related workshop pages). Other pages or functions on the same domain are for the developer's separate personal use and do not form part of what the Company has been given access to.
The Company owns the job data its staff enter. A manager can export it at any time, and Kris will delete all of the Company's data if a manager asks. Kris looks after the data only to run the app, as set out in the Privacy notice.
The app is a helper tool, not the Company's official record. It's provided as-is, with no guarantee that it will always be available or error-free. TSB and AI answers are guidance only. Always check them against manufacturer information before carrying out work. As far as the law allows, Kris isn't liable for losses that come from using the app.
Managers can add or remove users. Kris may close the app, change it, or remove any user's access at any time, for any reason. This includes anyone who misuses the app, such as copying, sending or sharing the TSB information outside the Company, trying to get around its security, or deliberately overloading it. Where possible, Kris will give notice before closing the app, so a manager can export the data first.
A manager may switch on a "here now" icon that shows who is currently logged in. No history is kept. This is a possible future feature and is off by default.
The Company may stop using the app at any time and ask for its data to be deleted. A manager can export the data first. Kris will confirm by email once it's done.
The page and its features may change over time. Where a change adds new terms that staff need to know about, they may be asked to sign or acknowledge a new agreement or policy version.
The Company's signatory may accept future versions of these terms, and of the privacy notice, on the Company's behalf through the app's sign-off page.
If these terms change, everyone will be asked to agree again.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
